I am proud to say that I am a Nurse and I love what I do. I am in healthcare since 2011, I graduated from University of Virginia with major in Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Minor in Global Public health. Worked as a Registered nurse in Oklahoma as a Pediatric Nurse, Medical Surgical Nurse. I worked as floor nurse and then Charge Nurse, admission discharge Nurse in various hospitals and states. My Nursing carrier continued and so did my education. I was full time Nurse while I was pursuing my Masters at Oklahoma State University. I Proudly graduated from Oklahoma State University with Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration in 2015. I do thank my family and Friend for their support.My first leadership role started on one of the Skilled care unit in Iowa and was not able to continue my carrier due to nature of work. Long term care or skilled nursing unit was not cup of tea for me at least. My long term desire to work on public health, prevention landed me to Primary Health Care. As a leader at PHC I am living a dream as a healthcare worker who serves the most undeserved population in Des Moines IA. When someone ask me why don't you work somewhere else you will easily get higher level job with more pay. My only answer to them is I love what I do and I love who I serve. At the end that is all what matter. My life will not be any better with extra 10-15K a year but I feel satisfied what I do at PHC.
